The World Heritage listed Blue Mountains west of Sydney, is a destination famous for its breathtaking panoramic views, historic towns and villages and crisp, clean, mountain air.
Here you follow in the footsteps of famed explorers William Lawson, Gregory Blaxland and William Charles Wentworth who pioneered this gateway across the Great Dividing Range to new rich country and farmlands in 1813.
Your day begins with the drive west across the ANZAC bridge then onto Victoria Road, passing Homebush Bay site of the Summer 2000 Olympic Games. On our return to Sydney we stop at Homebush Bay to show you its attractions. Enjoy your first stop to view and interact with Australian Wildlife and birds at 'Featherdale Wildlife Park'. A must see for all ages! Complimentary morning tea provided by Wendt On Tours.
Continuing our journey west on the M4 freeway we cross the Nepean river at Penrith to join the Great Western Highway for our ascent up the mountain to Katoomba. Our scenic drive takes us through quaint and historic village towns including Blaxland, Lawson, Wentworth Falls and Leura.
View the Three Sisters at Echo Point, overlooking the breathtaking Jamison Valley.
Still in the mountains, there is the added attraction of Scenic World, home to the world's steepest railway, Scenic Skyway or access and walk through the temperate rainforest of the Jamison Valley via the Flyway cable car.
Two other valleys, namely the Megalong and the Grose, host also magnificent viewpoints.
