Wendt to the Hunter Valley
The Hunter Valley is Australia’s oldest commercial wine producing district and offers a delightful and satisfying winery tour and country hospitality experience.
The Wendt on Wineries day tour begins with the journey across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, travelling through the northern suburbs of Sydney via the Pacific Highway. We join the F3 Freeway at Hornsby which travels adjacent to the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, across the Hawkesbury River, renowned for its oysters. Complimentary morning tea, is provided at our Wyong Service Centre comfort stop.
Passing through the historic coal mining city of Cessnock, first inhabited in 1823, we head into the wine region of the Hunter Valley, Pokolbin. Here, your wine tasting experience begins!
We visit selected boutique wineries where you will enjoy the hospitality of the wine makers and have the opportunity to taste and purchase an array of wines and ports. Our service level provides for each of our guests, the satisfaction of not only conducting tastings at cellar doors which compliments your tastes, but the added flexibility to include cheese tastings and a visit to either renowned Cypress Lakes or the Vintage Golf Courses.
A highlight of the day is a gourmet lunch at prestigious 'Roberts' restaurant nestled in the vineyards of Pepper Tree, where you have a choice of any two courses from an a la carte menu.
To further the indulgence of your Hunter Valley experience, we visit the Hunter Valley Chocolate Company which offers a tantalising range of premium hand-made chocolates and chocolate products.
Our return to Sydney is at a leisurely pace after you have tasted the best of the Hunter.
